How to Feel Better

I was not feeling so well last week. I dunno if it was a mild flu or simply mild depression but I knew the only person who could make it better was me.

When I have no energy I take advantage of my ability to nap. If possible, napping with a friend is always the best.

Sharing is a nice pick-me-up too...

As well as playing with friends.

I highly recommend spending some quality time with children. I babysat Ben the other night and he kept me entertained while showing me a website called Fantastic Contraption.

Kids these days... wow.

Recalling fond childhood memories help. Erica and C.J. often remind me of those silly fun times I had with my brother... that is when we weren't fighting. :)

With creativity at an all time low I was honored to help my friend Marv apply resin to a portrait he did of his son using bits of aluminum cans.

His work is Marv-elous!

More on this later.

Finally... today I had the opportunity to show some of my art to one of our board members.

I was a little hesitant at first because I am not one to sell myself.

She gave me lots of encouragement and ideas. I realized that I need to either sell my art or give it away. If I keep it near me I may get a creativity block (which I have.)

I need to get out there and show it to people. Might as well start with the four or five of you that read my blog. :)

So here are some of my favorite pieces. These pieces are all here looking over my shoulder (with the exception of the table) and holding me back.

I am about to let them go.

Wish me luck.

And now... off to read some of my favorite blogs...

(PS. To my good friends who have been sending me good light and energy, blessings, prayers, non-prayers and positively beautiful witchy spells... thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have felt them.

Followup doctor appts are set up and I have no fear that my results will be anything but positive.)

Glad you're coming back! ;) Four-leggeds are the best, aren't they!! I can hardly wait until we get some more...SO hard to wait...! Kel, you know what I told you so many years ago about your painting, so I won't batter you with more pushing and prodding, but I WILL say how glad I am that you're finally on the brink of doing what you so obviously ought to do. Congratulations! If you let yourself open to it, you could take off like a rocket!!! :) Your painting is so beautiful, so unique, so WORTHY of being seen and treasured by many... (I absolutely ADORE the bowl you gave me.) ~ Jul

I love your work!

I swear, it seems all the women in my life have pain and energy issues. I hope it's not merely knowing ME that has anything to do with it........groan.......

Could I possibly be a vampire!

It's gorgeous, bright, and alive, just like you kiddo!
Pay it forward..
give so that you may receive..
that is how the universe works...we humans just don't like the time scale that it uses because we live such short lives.

I am a power napper...luv it..
almost every evening I have a 20 minute zonk-out...
it's the fountain of youth.

Jules! The four-legged friends are the best. I can't imagine my life without them. How are my two favorite horses doing? It was so sweet to finally meet them. Thanks for you encouraging words as always!

LOL Michael! If you were a vampire you would be the kind that loves and protects. Have you been watching True Blood on HBO? You would be like Bill. :)

Vicus, have you been hitting the acid again?

Donn... You are a kind man with words so wise. Thank you! I try to power nap right before my husband comes home from work so I wake up when he arrives. Lately he has been sneaking in and letting my power nap go into overtime! It has become a sport to him.

Love and hugs to you all!
